    About General Purpose

    General Purpose is the UK’s leading AI enablement and training company. We have guided thousands of professionals at more than 100 organisations to adopt tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and Claude.

    What you will do

    • Design and refresh learning experiences that cover AI fundamentals, tool selection, policy and advanced workflows.

    • Deliver live training and coaching in person and online, including half-day workshops, week-long activation programmes and one-to-one coaching sessions.

    • Work onsite at client offices to help embed AI usage in their teams and drive culture changes.

    • Advise on AI strategy and policy during leadership sessions, carry out AI maturity assessments and plan AI roadmaps.

    • Measure impact by gathering feedback, adoption metrics and time-saved data, then recommending improvements.

    • Stay current with developments in LLMs, regulation and broader AI trends, sharing distilled insights with the team and clients.

    Essential requirements:

    • Proven track record designing and delivering professional training (classroom, virtual or blended).

    • Hands-on expertise with leading generative AI tools and practical workflows.

    • Technical knowledge in how AI works and a history of working with AI

    • Skilled at explaining complex ideas in plain English to mixed-ability groups.

    • Confident facilitation style, comfortable with audiences ranging from graduates to C-suite.

    • Awareness of data privacy, copyright and regulatory issues (GDPR, EU AI Act, UK Code of Practice).

    • Strong writing abilities for slide decks, playbooks and policy drafts.

    • Ability to analyse learning data to evidence impact.

    Helpful but not essential

    • Consulting or change-management experience.

    • Qualification in adult learning, instructional design or coaching.

    • Knowledge of workflow automation or creative disciplines such as product design.

    Engagement details

    • Freelance contract, project-based assignments.

    • Work is scheduled according to client demand; typical engagements range from single workshops to multi-week programmes.

    • You will need your own laptop or device. We provide licences and access to all required AI software and tools.
